As in ancient people by bike

We are offering bicycle tours of Japan, specialize in old routes and old roads that ancient people actually stepped on. Until only 140 years ago, main transportation devices are their own feet and horsebacks in this country. While highway net was constructed rapidly and widely in the 60s, some of these old roads became carriageway by paving and/or broadening them, others remain as it was. Our courses tracking back these old routes as precisely as possible, by checking literate and field examination.

Excellent modern roads - except for bikes

Today Japan is known as the country which has one of the best transportation systems, the rate of pave is quite high and most of them are ill-paved. So you might wonder why we don't recommend these "new" roads. But Japanese carriageways are in a constant stream of heavy traffic. Even in the countryside, high-standard highways are stretched in a finely meshed pattern. These highways are not designed with bicycle in mind.

Real Japan

In most cases, old routes are out of contemporary arterial highway and have a lot of traditional colonies along it's line. Accordingly, you can not only avoid heavy traffic but also see the real people and a lot of historic remains of Japan. Again, old routes are really changeful in it's gradient and bend, conditions of road surface, surrounding scenery - so that it keeps you from getting bored even in a matter of minutes. You'll see how comfortable and suitable for bikes they are. Also, you'll see real Japan.
